A painter, poet, sculptor, and creator of artist’s books, Raynald Légaré lives and works in Mont-Carmel.
His artistic approach revolves around a gestural style inspired by nature, music, and life. He enjoys writing in the margins, walking along trails, and painting on the back of the canvas.
He creates in his studio, the Atelier Lichepain. The term Lichepain evokes the poverty of the early settlers and originally referred to the entire inhabited territory of Mont-Carmel. Raynald Légaré adopted this poetic and historic name and transformed it into a hub of artistic creativity.
He is also the founder of the sentier culturel de Mont-Carmel, featuring five cultural spaces.
